Care Culture
Many people in the scene say they actually feel safer naked at a sex party than they do in a bar.
There is a reason for this... sex positive spaces, particularly kink/BDSM communities, require a level of care and consent that isn't expected in day to day life. But why? We argue this level of care should be a standard because everyone deserves to feel safe in their bodies in any environment.
Consent for Everyday Life
In this workshop we take concepts from BDSM, Kink and other Sex + communities and apply them to everyday life situations. We discuss the systemic ways we are programmed to disconnect from our autonomy from a very young age and challenge the ways we are taught to engage with one another and our own boundaries.
In this hour long workshop we will explore and practice ways to integrate care and consent culture into our day to day lives. You will walk away with practical skills that can not only be applied in a sex+ setting but also with friends, lovers, family, co-workers, children etc.
We will be offering this 1hr long workshop completely online!
